Window factory quality control is most effective when checks occur throughout production rather than only after a finished unit is packed. The inspection plan should connect the approved specification to measurable checks and traceable records. It should also explain what happens when an item does not conform.
Material receipt and identification
Check profiles, glazing, hardware and seals against the approved references before they enter production. Similar-looking components may have different dimensions, finishes or functions. Labeling and storage should prevent them from being mixed accidentally.
Record damage, missing information or specification differences and hold affected material until a decision is made. The order should not advance on the assumption that an unknown component is close enough. Ask how supplier changes are reviewed and authorized.
Fabrication and assembly checks
Use the current drawing revision at the workstation. Identify the dimensions and operations that need checking during cutting, machining and frame assembly. The inspection method should suit the item and the agreed tolerances rather than relying only on visual impressions.
Review joints, drainage paths, hardware locations and seal continuity at the relevant stage. Some details become difficult to inspect after glazing or packing. A staged plan catches problems while correction is still practical.
Glazing and finished operation
Confirm the glass build-up and orientation where specified. Review the glazing arrangement against the system instructions, including the relevant supports and seals. Keep product identification connected to the opening schedule.
Operate a finished unit using the agreed inspection method. Check panel travel, locks, handles, alignment and the supplied accessories. Functional inspection is different from a laboratory performance test; the quality plan should not imply that one proves the other.
Control nonconformities and packing release
- Record the item ID and observed discrepancy.
- Identify the agreed correction or review decision.
- Reinspect corrected work and retain the result.
- Prevent unresolved items from entering dispatch.
- Check labels, accessories and protection before packing.
Agree the inspection frequency and acceptance criteria before production. Do not invent a sampling plan after a defect appears. Where independent inspection is required, define its timing and access so it complements the factory’s controls rather than replacing them.
For a Shanghai Slang enquiry, reference the selected window configurations, such as casement or sliding windows, and request an order-specific quality plan. The useful evidence is a record of checks against the approved order, with discrepancies resolved before release.
